Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven and proactive Business Development Manager with proven experience in tendering and government project acquisition within the waste management sector, specifically focused on solid waste management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, preparing, and submitting competitive proposals, building strategic partnerships, and contributing to the organization’s growth through successful bidding for public sector contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitor government procurement portals, tenders, and RFP announcements to identify business opportunities aligned with company services
  • Evaluate the feasibility and competitiveness of tenders and coordinate internal discussions for bid/no-bid decisions
  • Lead end-to-end tendering process: drafting, compilation, compliance checks, costing coordination, and timely submission of tender/bid proposals
  • Collaborate with technical and operations teams to gather necessary documentation, project experience, and resource inputs
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with government bodies, municipal corporations, and industry stakeholders
  • Liaise with procurement officials, consultants, and decision-makers to position the company favourably in upcoming projects
  • Identify and pursue new business development opportunities in the solid waste management sector
  • Support the development of strategic partnerships, joint ventures, or consortiums where applicable for complex tenders
  • Represent the company in official meetings, pre-bid conferences, vendor interactions, and relevant industry events, exhibitions, and seminars
  • Ensure brand visibility and industry presence in government circles
  • Ensure all bids are compliant with government norms and documentation is up to date
  • Maintain a repository of tender submissions, outcomes, and feedback for continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Environmental Studies, Waste Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in business development and government tendering in the waste management sector
  • Strong knowledge of government procurement processes, bidding platforms (e.g., GeM, eProcurement portals), and compliance requirements
  • Expertise in tender document preparation, technical and commercial proposal writing, and bid costing coordinatio
  • Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • High level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently to project sites, client meetings, and government offices as required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
