Technical Support Engineer

We at 1Pay are looking for a Technical Support Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience in the Fintech domain, preferably with exposure to FASTag and NPCI transaction flows.

We are seeking this candidate to work as part of our Technical Support team, helping us maintain operational excellence by troubleshooting production issues, performing log analysis, and ensuring smooth functioning of our transaction systems in a 24/7 environment.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

· Perform in-depth log analysis to identify root causes of technical and operational issues and provide detailed findings.

· Monitor, validate, and resolve issues related to FASTag transaction systems.

· Handle queries and escalations pertaining to NPCI transaction flow within defined SLA timelines.

· Write and execute SQL queries for data extraction, reporting, and incident investigation.

· Use Linux/Unix systems for troubleshooting, performance checks, and log navigation.

· Collaborate actively with internal teams (Product, Development, QA) and external stakeholders (Banks, NPCI).

· Document incident resolutions, troubleshooting steps, and build internal knowledge base.

· Proactively monitor system health and performance metrics to ensure uptime and system stability.

· Participate in 24/7 rotational shifts, ensuring seamless support coverage.

Key Required Skills:

· Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.

· Proficiency in SQL – able to write and optimize complex queries.

· Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix – scripting, log analysis, file system handling.

· Experience with log analysis – identifying and interpreting server and application-level issues.

· Working knowledge of FASTag systems and understanding of transaction ecosystems.

· In-depth understanding of NPCI transaction flow – including toll transactions, settlement, and dispute management.

· Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving approach.

· Ability to work effectively under pressure in a live production environment.

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
