Role Overview

The Engineer – Technical Services will be responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical support of machine vision systems at customer sites. The role requires strong technical acumen, practical problem-solving ability, and confident communication to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission machine vision systems, cameras, and lighting setups.
• Conduct trials, testing, and validation of vision-based applications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues during and after commissioning.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
• Prepare detailed service reports, documentation, and project handover logs.
• Coordinate with project and sales teams for requirement analysis and solution deployment.
• Conduct product demonstrations, training, and proof-of-concept (POC) sessions.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system uptime.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of electronics, sensors, and industrial communication protocols.
• Basic understanding of machine vision tools such as measurement, OCR, and defect detection.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs, automation systems, or vision software (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical layouts.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
• Readiness to travel frequently for on-site installations and support.

Additional Preferences (Not Mandatory)

• Experience with systems such as Cognex, Keyence, or Teledyne Dalsa.
• Familiarity with industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet).
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge.
