Technical Sales And Marketing Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in power and steel sectors
• Build and maintain strong client relationships with plant managers, Engineers , procurement teams, and decision-makers
• Provide technical presentations, demonstrations, and solutions tailored to client needs
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to regional growth strategy

Technical Skills (preferred skills option )

• Knowledge of

  industrial valves

  (, globe, ball, butterfly, control valves) and actuators (electric, pneumatic,), smart positioners
• Familiarity with

  automation systems

  and integration with plant operations
• Understanding of

  instrumentation and calibration

  processes for flow, pressure, temperature, and level measurement devices
• Ability to interpret

  technical drawings, and plant layouts

• Experience with

  maintenance and troubleshooting

  of valve/actuator systems
• Knowledge of

  safety standards and compliance

  in power and steel industries

Sales & Business Development Skills:

• Strong background in

  solution selling

  for industrial automation and control systems
• Ability to conduct

  technical presentations and product demonstrations

  for plant engineers and procurement teams
• Market research and

  competitor analysis

  in the Eastern India industrial sector
• Building long-term

  customer relationships

  with EPC contractors, OEMs, and plant operators
• Proven track record of

  meeting and exceeding sales targets

  in industrial equipment

Soft Skills:

• Excellent

  communication and negotiation

  skills
• Strong

  problem-solving and consultative approach

• Ability to work independently and manage

  regional travel schedules

• Team collaboration with engineering, service, and project execution teams

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (preferred)
• 38 years of experience in industrial sales (power/steel sector experience is a plus)
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment, machinery, engineering solutions related to power plant and steel plants
• Good knowledge of power plant and steel plant process
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Ability to travel extensively across Eastern India
