Job Title - Technical Program Manager, SRE
About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated & hands-on Program management professional to join our Site Reliability Engineering team withing Operations group. At Qualys, Cloud Platform aka Enterprise TrueRisk Platform, is heart of how business operates. ETP processes trillions of events & powers all cloud apps. This role bridges the gap between Application development & Reliability engineering.As a Technical Program Manager - SRE, you will be responsible for driving complex programs- by understanding the technical components and their dependencies, partnering with cross functional teams, developing execution plan - and ensure timely delivery. You will partner with best-in-class talent to drive high impact projects such as feature delivery or architectural revamp that spans multiple teams.In this role you will have opportunity to get involved in cutting edge technologies, architectural discussions and challenge your technical acumen. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive programs, incorporating technical requirements, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of technology solutions
- Plan, monitor and drive project execution, and provide effective status and progress metrics to relevant Stakeholders.
- Coordinate release and backlog planning and prioritization with cross functional teams- Product Engineering, Infrastructure & Security Operations.
- Work with the SRE Operations leadership to establish quarterly roadmaps & facilitate technical decisions or trade-offs to ensure clarity across teams.
- Use Program management skills, technical background and product knowledge to proactively identify risks, issues and drive their resolution.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, fellow Project/Program managers, Engineering and Cloud Operations team to collaborate & ensure timely project delivery.
- Effectively use JIRA, Confluence and other tools to track project status & ensure Metrics are easily accessible for relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal Security groups for vulnerability management, code security & drive security posture improvement.
- Drive process adoption, analyze current processes & practices, identify gaps, and suggest improvements.
- Identify system improvements, research and suggest new tools to ensure Qualys Cloud Platform is robust, highly available and transparent in operations.
Required Qualification
- Graduate/ Post Graduate in computer science, information technology or similar fields.
- 12+ years of overall professional experience in software industry.
- 5+ years of proven experience in Technical program/project management.
- Hands on experience in Project Management Tools- preferably Atlassian- JIRA & Confluence.
- Must have - Excellent communication skills & ability to clearly communicate with technical as well as non-technical audience.
- Must have - Working knowledge of various project management frameworks and guided teams using Agile/Scaled Agile to deliver a software product release.
- Must have - Experience managing cross functional programs, building & driving release schedules
- Must have - Working knowledge of cloud technologies and services such as AWS, GCP, OCI
Preferred Qualification
- Project management or Agile certifications - PMP, CSM, CSPO, SAFe etc
- Experience with SRE tools - CI/CD, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Observability- Prometheus, Grafana
- Prior software development or site reliability engineering/TPM is a Huge plus
