Key Responsibilities

1. Product Leadership & Delivery

• Own the end-to-end roadmap, design, and delivery of

  real-time fraud detection

  ,

  AML

  , and

  anti-fraud platforms

  .
• Drive

  POCs, prototyping, architecture decisions, sprint planning

  , and

  feature prioritization

  across cross-functional teams.
• Lead product execution for large-scale deployments across diverse BFSI clients globally.
  

2. Technical Program Management

• Define and oversee

  system architecture

  , data flows, and integrations for high-throughput, low-latency real-time fraud engines.
• Guide teams on

  microservices, distributed systems, big data processing, and cloud-native deployments

  .
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure efficient use of

  Java-based platforms, APIs, and streaming technologies

  .

3. Fraud/AML Platform Development

• Manage the development of platforms supporting:
  
• Real-time fraud scoring & decision engines
  
• Transaction monitoring (AML)
  
• Behavioral analytics and AI/ML models
  
• Batch, near-real-time, and streaming integrations
  
• Ensure compliance with regional and global

  financial crime regulations

  .

4. Stakeholder & Client Management

• Collaborate with

  banks, payment institutions, FinTechs

  , and internal business units.
• Translate regulatory, business, and risk requirements into technical deliverables.
  
• Provide executive-level insights, risk reports, and program updates.
  

5. Cloud & Deployment Ownership

• Architect and deliver solutions on

  AWS, Azure, and GCP

  , using both containerized (Docker/Kubernetes) and non-containerized approaches.
• Ensure scalability, high availability, and security across deployments in multiple regions.
  

6. Team Leadership

• Manage, mentor, and scale large engineering teams (Software Developers, QA, Data Scientists).
  
• Build a culture of accountability, innovation, and ownership across 5070+ member teams.
  

7. Business & P&L Alignment

• Align technology strategy with organizational goals and revenue models.
  
• Participate in

  P&L decisions

  , presales, RFP responses, and client solutioning.

Required Skills & Experience

Domain Expertise

• 10+ years in

  BFSI

  , specifically

  AML, Fraud Detection, EFRM, or Payments Risk

  .
• Strong understanding of fraud patterns, AML typologies, risk scoring, KYC/CDD, and compliance workflows.
  

Technical Expertise

• Background in

  Java/J2EE

  , microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with:
  
• Big Data Ecosystems (Hadoop, Kafka, Spark)
  
• Machine Learning-based fraud models
  
• Real-time streaming and event processing
  
• Database technologies (SQL/NoSQL)
  

Cloud & Architecture

• Hands-on experience architecting solutions on

  AWS, Azure, and GCP

  .
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native patterns.
  

Leadership & Program Management

• Proven experience managing

  large cross-functional teams (50+ members)

  .
• Ability to lead multi-year, multi-country product deployments.
  
• Strong communication with CXO-level stakeholders.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with

  payment gateways, UPI, card networks, or digital banking fraud systems

  .
• Exposure to regulatory frameworks (FATF, RBI, FinCEN, GDPR, PCI-DSS).
  
• Prior coding experience in Java or transition from Senior Developer Tech Lead Program Manager.
  
• Experience in building

  Greenfield risk or AML platforms
