Good understanding of reporting requirements under IFRS, particularly standards relevant to the banking industry Preferred candidate profile Qualified CA, CFA, or MBA with 2-4 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
Role & responsibilities Financial accounting and reporting which may or may not include analysis and commentary on the financial position and performance of the entities, businesses or group. • Month end close (including journal entries) like revenue booking, expense accounting, cash and suspense clearing, Transfer Pricing accounting, inter-co breaks clearing, reconciliation and attestation of balance sheet items. • Investment accounting like: Accounting for associates, JVs, subsidiary consolidation and deconsolidation, etc. • Monthly or periodic reporting related to: Income statement analysis, Balance Sheet analysis, key revenue or expense drivers, Debtors ageing, etc. • Statutory reporting experience: Monthly or quarterly or annual preparation of income statement, balance sheet and other financial statement notes including variance analysis and commentaries for legal entities.
