Position Overview
We’re looking for a skilled
Technical Design Engineer
with deep experience in architectural hardware and
direct exposure to US-based clients or companies
. This is a full-time, remote role ideal for someone with
5+ years in product or technical design
, strong communication skills, and comfort working independently across global teams.

with reliable internet and CAD capabilities.
🌎 Prior experience working directly with US clients is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Product Design & Engineering
- Create detailed CAD drawings and 3D models (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Ensure all designs meet structural, functional, and aesthetic standards
- Conduct basic stress/load analysis to validate product strength
- Design for cost-effective manufacturing (e.g., casting, CNC, stamping)
🔹 Estimation Support
- Assist in preparing design-based estimations for custom or large-scale projects
- Coordinate with internal and factory teams to align on feasibility and cost drivers
🔹 Technical Documentation & Factory Coordination
- Create and maintain BOMs, assembly instructions, and tolerance specifications
- Collaborate with factories to resolve production-related design queries
- Ensure accuracy and version control across all design files
🔹 Custom Order Engineering
- Create or adapt drawings based on US client-specific dimensions or configurations
- Engineer custom solutions ensuring proper load distribution and installation feasibility
- Provide technical clarification during sales or execution, as needed
🔹 New Product Development (Light)
- Occasionally assist with prototyping and detailing of new product ideas
- Translate rough concepts into basic technical drawings or sketches
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Design Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (hardware, furniture, metalwork, etc.)
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar tools
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques (metal, Lucite/acrylic, wood, glass)
- Ability to independently manage drawings, specs, and technical communication
- Prior experience working directly with US-based clients
- Fluent in English (verbal & written)
- Must have your own system + stable internet suitable for CAD work
Bonus Points For
- Experience preparing cost/effort estimates
- Exposure to sales or client-facing technical support
- Experience with factories or vendors for custom fabrication
- Knowledge of NPD workflows and design iteration
