About the role:


The Team Leader – Rider Operations will oversee a team of riders, ensuring smooth daily operations, adherence to company policies, and achievement of operational KPIs. This role is responsible for managing rider performance, resolving operational issues, and ensuring timely payments and leave management. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and has strong leadership and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and Manage Riders

·        Supervise and guide riders in their daily activities.

·        Ensure discipline, punctuality, and compliance with company policies.

·        Conduct regular check-ins and performance discussions.

2. Track & Monitor KPIs

·        Monitor daily rider metrics such as number of rides, on-time logins, earnings, and customer feedback.

·        Identify gaps and implement corrective measures to achieve operational targets.

·        Prepare performance reports for management review.

3. Resolve Rider Issues

·        Act as the first point of contact for rider-related concerns, including technical, operational, or personal issues.

·        Coordinate with other departments for timely resolution of escalated issues.

4. Manage Rider Calendar

·        Maintain a structured Excel sheet or system for rider shifts, availability, and leave schedules.

·        Ensure optimal shift allocation and coverage to maintain service quality.

5. Handle Rider Payments

·        Track daily payments through the app and COD methods.

·        Reconcile accounts accurately and ensure timely disbursement.

·        Address payment discrepancies promptly.

6. Approve PTO & Sick Leaves

·        Manage leave requests to ensure adequate team coverage.

·        Coordinate with backup riders to maintain operational continuity.


Required Qualifications & Skills:

·        2–4 years of experience in team management, rider/delivery operations.

·        Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

·        Proficient in Excel and basic reporting tools.

·        Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
