Job Description

1. Sales Management

  • Drive life insurance sales through bank branch channels to achieve monthly and annual targets.
  • Monitor daily business performance, lead generation, conversion ratios, and productivity metrics.
  • Implement effective sales strategies, campaigns, and goal-setting for the team.
  • Ensure cross-selling and upselling of suitable life insurance solutions based on customer profiles.

2. Team Leadership & People Development

  • Manage and motivate a team of Relationship Managers/Insurance Specialists.
  • Conduct regular coaching, joint field calls, and performance reviews.
  • Identify skill gaps and conduct training sessions on products, sales skills, and compliance.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members.

3. Bank Branch Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with branch managers, staff, and key stakeholders to ensure consistent support.
  • Conduct daily/weekly branch meetings to align on sales activities and business opportunities.
  • Provide product knowledge sessions and motivate bank staff to participate in insurance sales.

4. Customer Engagement

  • Support the team in identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate life insurance solutions.
  • Ensure high-quality customer interactions, high persistency, and superior service experience.
  • Resolve complex customer concerns and ensure adherence to service quality standards.

5. Compliance & Process Adherence

  • Ensure all sales activities comply with IRDAI, company, and bank partner regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting.
  • Monitor quality of sales, prevent mis-selling, and ensure ethical business practices.

6. Business Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly dashboards and share insights with senior management.
  • Analyze branch performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective action plans.
  • Track market trends and competitor offerings to optimize sales strategies.
