Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Team Lead/Assistant Manager – US Accounting to oversee our accounting operations and lead a team supporting US-based clients. The ideal candidate should possess deep accounting expertise, strong leadership abilities, and excellent analytical skills. This role involves managing end-to-end accounting functions while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and delivering accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end activities.
  • Review and finalize financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
  • Oversee accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Monitor, analyze, and validate accounting data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and full GAAP compliance.
  • Support and review budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
  • Work closely with senior management to provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations for strategic decisions.
  • Supervise, guide, and mentor a team of senior and junior accountants, ensuring quality output and timely delivery.
  • Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and financial consolidations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation and reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not mandatory).
  • 5–7 years of relevant US accounting experience, including leadership or team-handling responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and US accounting practices.
  • Hands-on expertise in accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and lead a team effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
