Job SummaryWe are seeking a passionate and experienced Teaching Faculty member to join our team at GIDD. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality instruction in our certification courses on building design and interior design. This role involves teaching course-related theory, practical sessions, and proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Google SketchUp, Photoshop, 3DS Max, and similar tools. The faculty will play a key role in mentoring students, developing curriculum, and ensuring learners gain real-world skills for career advancement. Key Responsibilities Course Delivery: Conduct engaging lectures, workshops, and practical sessions on building design and interior design topics, including architectural principles, space planning, material selection, and sustainable design practices. Software Training: Provide hands-on training on essential software tools, including but not limited to AutoCAD (for 2D/3D drafting), Google SketchUp (for modeling), Photoshop (for rendering and editing), 3DS Max (for advanced 3D visualization), and other related applications like Revit or Lumion. Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the academic team to update and refine course content, ensuring alignment with industry trends and certification standards. Student Assessment and Mentoring: Evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, exams, and portfolios; offer personalized guidance to help students overcome challenges and achieve learning outcomes. Practical Projects: Guide students in real-world projects, such as designing building layouts, interior spaces, or virtual models, to apply theoretical concepts. Institute Contributions: Participate in institute events, workshops, skill development initiatives, and administrative tasks as needed. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of emerging trends in building and interior design, including new software updates and industry best practices, to enhance teaching quality. Required Qualifications and SkillsEducation: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field from a recognized institution. Professional certifications in relevant software (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) will be an advantage. Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of teaching or industry experience in building design, interior design, or architecture. Prior experience in skill development or vocational training institutes is preferred. Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of key software tools, including: AutoCAD Google SketchUp Adobe Photoshop 3DS Max Additional familiarity with tools like Revit, Rhino, or V-Ray is a plus. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse learners; strong organizational and time-management abilities. Other Requirements: Passion for education and skill development; ability to work in a collaborative team environment; commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere. Preferred Qualifications Industry certifications or memberships (e.g., from Indian Institute of Architects or similar bodies). Experience in online teaching platforms or blended learning models.
