Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tax Consultant located in Chennai. As a Tax Consultant, you will be responsible for handling various tax-related activities including tax planning, tax compliance, tax preparation, and tax audits. You will also ensure that the organization's tax practices adhere to necessary regulations and tax law. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimize tax strategies and mitigate risks. Roles & Responsibility Experience in GST filing including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B preparation and submission. Proficient in budgeting and cost analysis. Skilled in GST reconciliation and TDS reconciliation, including return filing preparation. Hands-on experience with Excel for MIS reporting using functions like VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIF, and SUBTOTAL. Knowledge of individual income tax planning and compliance. Familiar with the process of new GST registration and cancellation/closure. Involved in book finalization and preparing necessary accounting schedules. Proficient in daily entry posting in Tally and maintaining accurate ledgers. Experience in drafting board resolutions and preparing documentation for statutory compliance. Exposure to various accounting and compliance functions during internship at an auditor’s office.
