Talent Management Analyst

As a Talent Management Analyst at Belden, you will play a crucial role in supporting talent initiatives within the global Talent and Culture Team. Working from India, your responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with HR teams and talent leaders worldwide to drive strategic talent management programs. Your focus will be on activities such as succession planning, talent reviews, career development frameworks, and enterprise-wide capability building. Your impact will be significant in several key areas: Succession Planning: - Coordinate functional talent councils to carry out regular succession planning activities across regional and global business units. - Ensure identification of successors for critical roles, monitor readiness, and collaborate with stakeholders on development actions. - Maintain accurate succession data and generate visual dashboards for review by HR and leadership. Talent Review Cycles: - Facilitate talent calibration and 9-box discussions with HR and business leaders. - Synthesize insights from regional reviews to provide a global perspective on talent health and capability gaps. - Support the implementation of development plans, internal mobility, and strategies for retaining high-potential employees. Career Development & Progression: - Develop and implement career pathing frameworks for various functional areas (e.g., sales, marketing, operations/supply chain, R&D). - Collaborate with business and L&D teams to define role competencies and development paths aligned with industry-specific career tracks. - Assist in creating tools and communication strategies to help employees navigate career opportunities. Enterprise Talent Initiatives: - Contribute to global talent programs such as high-potential initiatives, internal talent marketplaces, and leadership development. - Aid in the deployment of standardized talent processes and systems across the APAC region, ensuring alignment with global priorities. - Serve as a local contact for change management and adoption of new global talent platforms or frameworks. Talent Analytics & Insights: - Prepare and analyze reports on succession depth, promotion velocity, high-potential engagement, and attrition risks. - Utilize data to inform strategic decision-making and evaluate the impact of talent interventions. - Maintain dashboards in tools like Workday, Power BI, and Excel. To qualify for this role, you should have: - A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. - 5+ years of experience in talent management or organizational development, ideally in a large, global manufacturing company. - Proficiency in HR systems such as Workday, SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM. - Advanced Excel skills and experience with talent analytics tools like Power BI and Tableau. - Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate effectively across time zones and cultural differences. - Exposure to global HR practices and matrixed organizational structures. - Experience supporting skilled trade, shopfloor, or plant-based talent in manufacturing settings. - Knowledge of assessment tools (e.g., Hogan, Korn Ferry, 360 feedback) and their application in talent development. - Comfort working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and change-driven environment.
