Systems Developer II
We have an opportunity for aSystems Developer II to join our global Education team, reporting to the Director of Education Development, Delivery and Operations. In this pivotal role, you will design, develop, and maintain software applications and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This is an exciting role within a fast-paced education team that requires an energetic, innovative, and customer-centric individual.
Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, test, debug, and support software applications and systems
- Implement and configure new or existing software and systems integrations
- Maintain and update systems architecture and documentation
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software and systems issues
- Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Develop and maintain stable software and systems
- Ensure optimal performance and reliability of systems
- Document systems architecture and procedures
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and tools
- Provide technical support to users and team members
Be Prepared — What You Bring
- 4+ years of experience in software development or systems administration
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PHP, Python, or similar
- Experience with relational databases like MySQL or Postgres
- Familiarity with Linux server infrastructure and command line
- Knowledge of virtual and containerized computing environments
- Practical networking knowledge and experience with routers, switches, and firewalls

- Understand and document the systems and software stack
- Complete training courses relevant to the role
