Job Context:
Bi rla Co pp er has a c o pper smelting a nd r e fi ning co mpl ex a t D ahej producing copper cathodes, cast copper rods, precious metals such as gold silver and selenium, fertilizers, and other bi-products such as s ulphur ic a ci d, phosp ho ric acid etc . in multiple plants with different technologies requiring diverse competencies . Besides having several process plants, the unit has a captive jetty, a Jana Sevak Trust hospital and a residential complex for employees. It also has arrangements for transporting non-residential employees back and forth from Dahej and Bharuch. There are approximately 1500 employees across functions at the Dahej unit out of which about 1100 are of the bargainable category. About 2000 contract labout are deployed across the multiple operations. This role is responsible for due diligence with respect to monitoring attendance and leave data for payroll computation as well as assisting in coordination with respect to performance management. This involves close coordination with employees and initiation of disciplinary process in case of repeated or continued absenteeism.
Liaising with lawyers for miscellaneous labour related litigation is another important aspect of this role.

- Timely Issuing of Gatepass based on managements approval
- Labour Data updation in kronos system.
- Enusre 100% scheduling of CL in Kronos
- Enusre leave encashment for CL
- Reach out Contract Labour at shopfloor addresss their grievnces and also ensure discipline of labours
Act.
- Preparation of PF statement and all related documents
- Send reports on payment status as per requirement
- Implementation of compliance related to Minimum wages Act and Payment of wages act and Employee Provident fund & Miscellaneous provision Act 1952.
- Ensure Labour Liscence for all contractors
- Ensure Workmen Compensation Policy for all contract labour
- Maintain Gratuity provison for all contract labour who are eligible according to the law.
- Timely disbursement of Bonus as per law.
- Maintain laison with contractor and supervisor for ease completion of work.
- Maintain good laison with local leaders for better solving of isssues related to labour
