Job Purpose/ Summary

The Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer for the Blast Furnace is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical and instrumentation systems within the Blast Furnace unit. The role includes maintenance and troubleshooting of power distribution systems, motors, field instruments, drives, and control panels. The engineer is also responsible for implementing preventive maintenance schedules, minimizing breakdowns, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Coordination with mechanical, operations, and automation teams is essential to maintain uninterrupted plant performance and meet production targets.

Support BF E&I WMLAs a Senior Engineer in the BF E&I WML department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of electrical systems. You will be expected to have a deep understanding of Regulatory Acts/Laws, Functional Knowhow-Process, Compliance & Safety, Preventive Maintenance, and Electrical maintenance & engineering.

Principal Accountabilities

Ensure compliance with all regulatory acts and laws related to electrical maintenance and engineering.Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance the longevity and efficiency of electrical systems.Oversee the functional processes and ensure they are in line with the company's standards and objectives.Ensure safety protocols are strictly adhered to in all operations.Liaise with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.Manage conflicts and make decisive decisions to resolve issues promptly.Lead and manage a team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Demonstrate a global mindset in dealing with international partners or stakeholders.Show strong business and commercial acumen in all dealings.Foster an entrepreneurial spirit within the team, encouraging innovation and efficiency.Regularly review and update knowledge of regulatory acts/laws to ensure the company's compliance.Participate in regular training and professional development activities to enhance technical and soft skills.The Senior Engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our operations.
