Job Description

Procurement Management

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals and category needs.
  • Identify and onboard reliable suppliers for FMCG products and packaging materials.
  • Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts ensuring best value and quality.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Maintain accurate purchase records and ensure timely purchase order (PO) processing.

2. Demand & Supply Planning

  • Lead monthly forecasting with sales and finance teams.
  • Plan and align procurement with dynamic demand patterns (seasonality, sales campaigns).
  • Maintain safety stock and plan reorder points using Min-Max inventory models.
  • Analyse stock turnover ratios to optimize purchase cycles.
  • Support new product launches with timely availability of inventory.

3. Logistics & Distribution

  • Oversee transportation planning for inbound and outbound goods.
  • Ensure timely delivery from suppliers to warehouse and from warehouse to distributors/retailers.
  • Manage and evaluate logistics partners (transporters, couriers).
  • Control freight costs and vehicle utilization efficiency.

4. Warehouse & Inventory Control

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels, reduce stock-outs and overstock.
  • Monitor inventory aging, expiry, and FIFO adherence.
  • Implement bin/location systems and cycle count processes.
  • Coordinate warehouse layout for efficient space utilization.
  • Ensure proper packing, labelling, and dispatch processes.

5. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure procurement and logistics documentation is complete and GST-compliant.
  • Maintain HSN-wise records, purchase tax registers, and statutory audit data.
  • Comply with FSSAI, GST, and local logistics regulations.
  • Manage contracts, import documentation (if applicable), and vendor certifications.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Liaise with Sales for demand inputs and urgent requirements.
  • Work with Finance to manage vendor payments, cost controls, and landed cost accounting.
  • Collaborate with IT/ERP teams to streamline system workflows and reporting.
  • Support production or repacking units, if applicable.

Communication & Team CoordinationQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

- Qualification - Bachelor's Degree/ MBA in logistics preferred

- Experience - Minimum 4 to 5 years' experience specialized in field of Retail / Industry with exposure to supply chain operations (Preferably FMCG)

- Must have Strong Odoo, SAP, Tally knowledge and working experience

-KPI Category - Procurement, Inventory Management, Logistic, Warehouse Ops, Demand Planning, Compliance.

- Team management, Creativity, good communication skills and inter personal relationship skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
