Your Role As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for managing supplier quality performance, first article inspection & production parts quality management through inspection at different stages of manufacturing, viz. pattern inspection, Casting Inspection, in-process & final inspection of Machined components, fabricated components as per approved documentation to assure that all the products meet ACIPL - CPC Pumps drawings, CPC specifications, Customer specifications / National and International Codes & Standards. Quality Engineer is required to co-ordinate with Vendors, Customer / TPIA, Internal Team Members for inspection related activities. To succeed, you will need Should have good Knowledge of raw material – castings, forgings, pipes, plates, flanges, fittings, structural sections. Review of various Material Test certificates as per Project requirement and applicable National & International Codes, Specifications. Need to understand Client Job specification, procedures, ITP, Drawings (GA, P&ID) and implementing during execution. Should have in-depth knowledge of checking critical parameters of inspection stages / manufacturing activities like Weld joint set-up, machining inspection, welding, pressure / leak testing, visual & dimensional, painting, assembly of package, performance testing, P&ID tracking, packing inspection. Witness / review NDT activities, Lab testing, Type test reports, pressure / leak testing, performance testing, functional testing, painting & coating Responsible for shop floor quality verification and inspection activities according to method of statement, SOP, inspection and test plans, procedures. Responsible for the preparation, compilation of all quality documentation prior and after the acceptance of the Customer. Review and compilation of all quality documents such as Weld map, WPS, PQR, WPQ, Material Heat Chart, NDT summary, FAT / performance tests, with latest revisions, quality control, inspection report documents signed by QC inspector and Customer. Inspection co-ordination and punch list closure on real time basis with Vendor and Customer / TPIA. Experience Requirements/ Knowledge You should have experience of 8-12 years in the areas of Inspection, Quality function in Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, petrochemical industries, with experience in fabrication/piping/welding/ valves/pump, etc. Good knowledge of casting process, precision machining and NDT inspection of large pump, valve, compressor components Good understanding of various quality improvement tools & techniques : 7 QC tools, Kaizen, 5S etc. Good knowledge of SAP Good knowledge / handling of testing instruments & calibration procedures. Good knowledge on QMS requirements Knowledge of various Codes & Standards – IS / ASME / ASTM / API etc. Educational Requirements Degree in Mechanical engineering with experience in Quality Assurance & Control.
