Job Description

Role Summary The Mould Supervisor will be responsible for supervising day-to-day moulding operations for caps and closures production, ensuring optimal machine performance, mould maintenance, quality output, and adherence to safety standards. The role requires strong knowledge of injection moulding processes, mould/tool room practices, and the ability to lead a team of mould setters, operators, and technicians. Key Roles Production Supervision – Monitor and manage injection moulding machines for caps & closures production. Tool Room Coordination – Oversee mould repairs, preventive maintenance, and tool room activities. Quality Assurance – Ensure parts meet customer and company quality standards. Team Leadership – Guide and train operators, mould setters, and helpers.  Problem Solving – Resolve moulding defects and minimize downtime. Safety Compliance – Enforce safe working practices in handling moulds, tools, and machines. Key Responsibilities Supervise injection moulding operations for caps and closures, ensuring production targets are achieved. Plan and manage mould changeovers, setups, and startup approvals. Monitor mould performance and coordinate with tool room for corrective and preventive maintenance. Ensure proper mould handling, cleaning, and storage as per SOPs. Train and guide mould setters and operators on best practices in moulding and tool handling. Maintain mould history records, including breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance schedules. Collaborate with quality department to ensure consistent output and reduce rejection rates. Assist in mould trials, new product development, and validation processes. Maintain workplace safety standards and enforce PPE usage during mould changeovers and lifting. Prepare daily production, downtime, and maintenance reports for management review. Support continuous improvement initiatives in moulding efficiency, cycle time reduction, and cost control. Qualifications & Skills Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Plastics Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 3–7 years’ experience in injection moulding (caps & closures preferred). Strong knowledge of injection moulding machines, mould setups, and tool room practices. Ability to lead a team and coordinate across departments. Knowledge of quality system will be an added advantage. Good communication, reporting, and leadership skills.
