Hiring: Subject Matter Expert – Microsoft Analytics Engineering

About the Role:

Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Microsoft Analytics Engineering

You will collaborate closely with Learning Design Consultants and internal stakeholders to review course structures, validate hands-on labs and projects, and record concise screencast demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities

Review program structure and Job Task Analysis (JTA) / Skills Task Analysis (STA) documents in collaboration with Learning Design Consultants
Evaluate course definitions and detailed syllabi to ensure correct sequencing and alignment with learning objectives
Review course content including readings, quizzes, labs, dialogue prompts, and final project components for technical accuracy and completeness
Validate vignette video scripts for clarity, terminology, and code functionality
Review and record screencast demonstration videos (up to 7 minutes each), ensuring scripts, code, and templates work as intended
Test and validate all code samples, starter files, templates, and solution files for learner usability
Support QA of hands-on labs, ungraded activities, graded assessments, and final project workflows
Participate in client review meetings, feedback cycles, and approval processes
Provide feedback using “Suggest Edit” mode and follow defined compliance and content review guidelines

Required Skills & Experience

Strong background in data analytics, business intelligence, or analytics engineering
Hands-on expertise with
Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, SQL Server, and Excel
Solid understanding of data architecture, ETL frameworks, and performance optimization
Ability to clearly explain and validate analytics workflows
Experience contributing to training, certification, or instructional content is an advantage
