About The Role:

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to join our automotive car audio team. This internship provides hands-on experience in CAD design and development for automotive audio systems, helping you gain real-world exposure to the industry.

What You Will Do

Assist in 3D/2D CAD design using CATIA V5, focusing on surfacing, sheet metal, and plastic components.
Support the design and development of car audio systems, ensuring compliance with automotive standards.
Participate in design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers).
Work on technical documentation, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), tolerance analysis, and BOM (Bill of Materials) creation.
Support in design optimization for cost, weight, and manufacturability.

What You Need to be successful

Must be currently enrolled in or have completed a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Basic understanding of CAD software (Catia V5), Mechanical design principles, including materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Proficiency in CATIA V5, including surfacing, sheet metal design, and assemblies will be an advantage.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
