GalaxEye aims to shape the future of Satellite Image Acquisition, providing the most meaningful dataset, thus helping businesses and governments make data-driven decisions based on insights from satellite imagery. We will provide Satellite Imagery Datasets and Value added services to Geospatial Analytics Companies and Infrastructure enterprises. At GalaxEye, we are working to build the best remote sensing satellite and also we are researching on various aspects of remote sensing.

As the Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for structural design and involved in our assembly, integration and test processes for our next generation of satellites. You will also interact with the manufacturing personnel and supply chain teams to execute and deliver manufactured parts.

Responsibilities:

Develop assembly, integration and test processes for sub assemblies and spacecraft and related systems.

Develop mechanical and electrical equipment and fixtures to aid with assembly, integration and testing.

Design using the concepts of DFMA and generate BOM for easy interpretation of manufacturing team.

Design and analyze various deployment mechanisms to be used in space

Analysis of the structures for the vibrational, Acoustic and thermal environments.

Overlook testing of the structures for all the vibrational and dynamic environments.

Overlook manufacturing of design components to ensure right product development.

Requirements

B.Tech / B.E / MS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

0-2 years of experience in structural design and testing

Experience with mechanical design and simulation software like ANSYS, Catia, solid works

Very strong 3D Design skills to develop tooling and fixturing to interface with spacecraft, and to extract useful views for use in work instructions.

Must have exposure to DFMA methodology of design thinking.

Good with inventory management processes

Hands-on experience with hardware assembly, integration, and test

Good communications skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
