Structural Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Structural Design and Analysis:
• Design and analyze structural elements such as compost pits, waste processing units, storage sheds, leachate tanks, and boundary walls.
• Evaluate load-bearing requirements and design structures accordingly.
• Project Oversight:
• Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve structural issues during construction.
• Compliance and Standards:
• Ensure designs meet local building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
• Work closely with environmental engineers to align structural designs with SWM requirements.
• Material Selection and Testing:
• Select appropriate materials for construction based on site conditions and project needs.
• Conduct or oversee material testing to ensure quality and durability.
• Coordination and Collaboration:
• Collaborate with civil engineers, environmental specialists, and contractors to achieve project goals.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding progress, challenges, and timelines.
• Maintenance and Repairs:
• Develop maintenance plans for existing structures to ensure long-term usability.
• Address structural repairs as needed to maintain operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in industrial or environmental projects.
• Prior experience with Solid Waste Management projects is an advantage.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of local building codes, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Key Competencies:

• Knowledge of solid waste management infrastructure and processes.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Focus on safety, sustainability, and cost efficiency in design and execution.

Work Environment:

• Majority of the time will be spent at the SWM site, with periodic office-based meetings and reporting.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
