Structural Design Manager

Purpose/Objective

The Structural Design Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the regional structural design function, translating conceptual strategies from the Lead into detailed engineering deliverables. This role ensures high-quality structural analysis and design, supports regulatory approvals, coordinates with multidisciplinary teams, and drives value engineering to maintain technical and commercial viability across projects.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Structural Design & Analysis: Lead the development of detailed structural designs and calculations for ongoing and upcoming projects in the region. Ensure compliance with building codes, seismic/wind safety standards, and internal design protocols. Supervise structural consultants and review their deliverables for accuracy, quality, and feasibility. Design Review & Coordination: Check and validate structural drawings, specifications, and design documentation to ensure alignment with quality standards. Collaborate closely with architecture and MEP teams to integrate structural solutions within multidisciplinary layouts. Support selection of appropriate structural systems based on constructability, cost, and project timelines. Regulatory & Technical Approvals: Facilitate and track approvals from statutory bodies for structural designs. Ensure timely submission of design-related documentation to authorities and respond to technical queries as required. Execution Support & Quality Oversight: Provide technical assistance during project execution and conduct site visits to verify adherence to structural intent. Monitor contractor and consultant performance in delivering on approved structural designs. Cost Optimization & Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost savings through design optimizations and innovative material use. Implement value engineering exercises with consultants and internal teams to balance performance and cost. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare, review, and maintain structured design reports, BOQs, and project-specific design registers. Track design progress and highlight risks or delays to the Lead – Structural Design proactively."

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field. Work Experience(Range of years): 12-15 Years Preferred Industry: Experience in structural design and engineering, preferably in the real estate sector."
