Strategy and Growth Lead || startup || upto 30lpa

Role Overview:

We are looking for an analytical Strategy Leader to drive growth and innovation across carbon markets, I-RECs, and renewable energy monetization.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Strategy & Intelligence:

Lead strategic planning across carbon credits, I-RECs, and ESG-linked instruments. Analyze market trends, pricing, and regulations to guide business strategy.

Stakeholder Ecosystem Development:

Build partnerships with RE project owners, carbon credit buyers, traders, brokers, and regulators across voluntary and compliance markets.

Regulatory Engagement & Compliance:

Track global ESG and carbon market regulations (Article 6, CSRD, SEC Climate Rule, Gold Standard, Verra) and ensure offerings stay compliant.

Product Strategy Alignment:

Work with product and tech teams to enhance platforms for I-REC issuance, carbon trading, and project onboarding.

Thought Leadership & Research:

Publish insights on carbon markets, I-REC economics, and ESG innovation; represent the organisation in forums and industry panels.

Growth Planning:

Identify new geographies, sectors, registries, and instruments; build GTM strategies for emerging carbon and RE monetization models.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 7+ years in carbon markets, RE finance, ESG strategy, or climate-tech consulting

• Strong understanding of I-RECs, carbon credits, and voluntary/compliance markets

• Experience with RE developers, carbon brokers, traders, and institutional buyers

• Familiarity with ESG frameworks (GRI, TCFD, CDP, CSRD) and carbon accounting standards

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Exposure to regulatory affairs or climate finance instruments is a plus
