Job Description

The Store & Purchase Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire procurement and inventory management process to ensure timely availability of quality materials, equipment, and supplies at competitive prices. The role involves vendor management, cost control, and maintaining accurate stock records to support smooth hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities: Procurement & Purchasing:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost and efficiency.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials, food & beverage, engineering, and housekeeping supplies.
  • Maintain up-to-date vendor database and establish strong vendor relationships.

Inventory & Store Management:

  • Supervise daily store operations including receiving, storing, issuing, and recording materials.
  • Ensure that all goods received are of the right quality, quantity, and specifications.
  • Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconciliation.
  • Implement proper inventory control measures to minimize wastage, pilferage, and obsolescence.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and ensure data is updated in the inventory management system (IDS / Material Control / Other ERP).

Cost Control & Budgeting:

  • Monitor purchasing budgets and ensure adherence to cost-saving targets.
  • Coordinate with the Accounts and Cost Control departments to verify purchase bills and pricing accuracy.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly consumption reports and variance analysis.

Coordination & Communication:

  • Collaborate with all departments (Kitchen, Engineering, Housekeeping, F&B Service, Front Office) to forecast material requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or delivery issues.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, HACCP standards, and statutory procurement guidelines.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Maintain proper documentation of all purchase and store-related transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with audit and financial control requirements.
  • Support periodic internal and external audits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
