Job Summary The Café Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the café, ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, maintaining quality standards, and driving profitability. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and experience in food and beverage management. Key Responsibilities1. Operations Management Oversee day-to-day café operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, hygiene, and safety. Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and optimize costs. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. 2. Customer Service Foster a welcoming atmosphere and ensure exceptional customer experiences. Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally and promptly. Train staff in customer service best practices. 3. Staff Management Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise café staff. Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching/feedback. Foster a positive work environment and resolve team conflicts. 4. Financial Management Monitor budgets, sales, and expenses to maximize profitability. Implement cost-control measures without compromising quality. Analyze sales reports and adjust strategies to meet financial goals. 5. Marketing & Sales Develop promotions, loyalty programs, and seasonal offerings to attract customers. Manage social media presence and engage with the local community. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors for partnerships or special events. 6. Administrative Duties Maintain records of sales, inventory, and staff schedules. Ensure POS systems and equipment are functioning properly. Prepare reports for upper management as needed. Qualifications & Skills Experience: Minimum 1 years in café/restaurant management or supervisory role. Education: Degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred but not mandatory). Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Financial acumen (budgeting, cost control, sales analysis). Knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe). Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer skills. Personal Traits: Passion for coffee and food service.
