Store Manager

Job Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pet store, ensuring excellent customer service, effective staff management, inventory control, and achievement of sales targets while maintaining high standards of pet care and store hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

• Manage day-to-day store operations and ensure smooth functioning of the outlet
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper arrangement of the store

Sales & Customer Service

• Achieve monthly sales targets and drive store profitability
• Ensure excellent customer service and handle customer queries and complaints effectively
• Promote pet products, accessories, and services to maximize sales

Staff Management

• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise store staff
• Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback
• Ensure proper attendance, discipline, and teamwork among employees

Inventory & Stock Management

• Manage stock levels, ordering, receiving, and storage of products
• Prevent stock loss, damages, and pilferage
• Conduct regular stock audits and maintain accurate inventory records

Pet Care & Welfare

• Ensure proper care, feeding, hygiene, and well-being of pets in the store
• Monitor pet health and coordinate with veterinarians when required
• Ensure staff follows ethical pet handling and care practices

Reporting & Administration

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and stock reports
• Handle cash management, billing, and reconciliation
• Coordinate with head office for operations, supplies, and reporting

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in retail
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Good communication and customer-handling skills
• Basic knowledge of inventory systems and billing software
• Passion for pets and understanding of pet care is an added advantage

Working Conditions

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for long hours and manage a fast-paced retail environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
