Store Incharge

The Store Incharge is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the store, including receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of materials. This role ensures the availability of stock, proper documentation, and compliance with company policies, contributing to efficient operational workflow. Key Responsibilities:1. Inventory Management Maintain accurate stock levels using inventory management software. Monitor stock movement and update inventory records in real time. Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile physical stock with system data. Identify and report any stock discrepancies or damage. 2. Material Handling and Storage Receive, inspect, and verify materials delivered from suppliers. Ensure proper tagging, stacking, and storage of materials as per safety and quality standards. Implement FIFO/FEFO or other relevant inventory control methods. 3. Issuance and Dispatch Issue materials as per requisition orders and maintain accurate issue records. Coordinate timely dispatch of materials to concerned departments or external sites. Maintain records of inward and outward material movements. 4. Documentation and Reporting Maintain updated records of GRNs, delivery challans, invoices, and stock registers. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management review. Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and readily available for audits. 5. Compliance and Safety Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and legal regulations in store operations. Maintain cleanliness and order in the storage area. 6. Vendor Coordination (if applicable)Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery and resolution of supply issues. Communicate material shortages or overstock situations to procurement. 7. Team Supervision (if applicable)Supervise store assistants and laborers involved in loading/unloading. Train and guide staff on store processes, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
