STOCK AUDITOR

Job Summary

The Stock Auditor is responsible for conducting regular physical stock audits across branches/warehouses to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with company inventory procedures. The role involves identifying mismatches, reporting findings, and helping maintain strong inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and surprise physical stock audits at stores and warehouses.
• Verify stock quantity, damaged stock, missing items, and old/slow-moving stock.
• Reconcile system stock vs. physical stock and report variances.
• Review stock-handling process: receiving, storage, labeling, and dispatch.
• Check GRN, stock transfers, sales returns, and purchase returns.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with discrepancies and corrective recommendations.
• Follow up with branch teams to ensure timely closure of issues.
• Identify repeated issues and escalate to management.
• Monitor stock movement to reduce shrinkage and pilferage.
• Support quarterly/annual inventory audits.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Business Administration.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Stock Audit / Inventory Audit / Retail Audit (mandatory).
• Good understanding of inventory systems, stock flow, and basic accounting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management software (ERP preferred).
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and irregularities.
• Good communication and report-writing abilities.
• Willingness to travel to branches when required.
