Job Title: Staff Software Engineer

Impact & contribution:

Reduce the deployment time of model by utilising advance tools and technology. In this role you’ll assist execution of strategic initiatives to improve team effectiveness and performance.

Reporting lines: Reports to Senior Manager

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide ACES configuration support to business stakeholders.

• Assess requirements and present solution options using ACM out-of-the-box functionalities.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, the product owner, business analyst, architect, data engineers, and developers to deliver a holistic solution.

• Analyse large datasets, identify trends and insights, and develop solution options.

• Assist in executing and advising on solution options and implementation.

• Produce high-quality, sustainable solutions to meet business requirements, leveraging approved delivery frameworks and industry best practices.

• Advise business stakeholders on how to best use ACM to meet their objectives.

• Articulate and document key counterparty credit risk concepts and issues.

• Provide ACM configuration support and assistance to team members.

• Deliver ACM configuration solutions aligned with core concepts of cube data design, ACM key objects such as facility, counterparty, risk models, and transaction models.

• Contribute to domain planning and provide guidance to ensure technical deliveries align with engineering direction and strategy.

• Stay updated on developments within Algo and the financial markets, both in business and technological terms.

Essential Skills:

• Strong understanding of credit risk principles, including counterparty risk, limit and excess management, and country risk.

• Exposure to credit risk associated with retail, wholesale, and treasury products.

• Working knowledge of the credit risk lifecycle.

• Understanding of recent regulatory large counterparty risk and capital requirements.

• Knowledge of credit and portfolio credit risk systems and the process of implementation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

• Knowledge of VAR, Economic Capital, APS221/180/112, and IFRS 9 is advantageous.

• Experience with data analysis tools, SQL, OLAP, and programming languages like R and Python is desirable.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
