Position Overview:

Senior Pricing Manager

This is a senior-level role, requiring a strong background in pricing, logistics, and strategic management. You will be instrumental in shaping pricing policies, driving profitability, and ensuring that Airlift Trans Pacific remains competitive in a rapidly evolving market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pricing Strategy & Leadership:

• Lead the pricing team to develop and implement effective and competitive pricing strategies for air, ocean, and land freight services.
  
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align pricing strategies with the companys overall business objectives and growth targets.
  
• Ensure that pricing strategies are optimized for profitability while remaining competitive within the market.
  
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor pricing strategies, ensuring Airlift Trans Pacific’s prices reflect industry changes and customer demands.
  

• Team Management & Development:

• Manage and mentor a team of Pricing Managers and Executives, providing guidance, training, and professional development.
  
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance environment within the pricing team.
  
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to drive individual and team growth.
  

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Partner with sales, operations, and commercial teams to ensure alignment between pricing, customer contracts, and service offerings.
  
• Work closely with vendors, carriers, and other partners to negotiate favorable terms and ensure cost-effective pricing solutions.
  
• Ensure that pricing policies are adhered to across departments and that any deviations are communicated and managed effectively.
  

• Financial & Data Analysis:

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of pricing strategies on profitability and revenue.
  
• Analyze historical pricing trends, costs, and margins to optimize future pricing decisions.
  
• Review and approve pricing quotations and contracts for large or complex deals.
  
• Ensure that pricing decisions reflect a deep understanding of cost structures, including direct and indirect costs.
  

• Operational Excellence & Process Improvement:

• Continuously assess and improve pricing processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  
• Implement pricing models that reflect both market conditions and operational capabilities, ensuring minimal risk and maximum profit.
  
• Standardize pricing documentation and ensure accuracy in all customer-facing pricing proposals.
  

• Market Intelligence & Innovation:

• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements that could impact pricing and the global logistics market.
  
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations for new service offerings or pricing innovations to keep Airlift Trans Pacific ahead of the competition.
  
• Conduct competitor pricing benchmarking and identify areas for improvement or adjustment.
  

• Customer & Stakeholder Communication:

• Act as the primary point of contact for senior-level customer pricing discussions, especially for strategic or high-value accounts.
  
• Ensure customer expectations are met by providing transparent, accurate, and timely pricing information.
  
• Present pricing strategies and reports to the executive team and key stakeholders to ensure full alignment on business objectives.
