Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide strategic guidance on government liaisoning matters, including policy advocacy and negotiation.
  • Assist in acquiring necessary permits, licenses, and approvals
  • Manage corporate affairs by ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate CSR activities to promote a positive image of the company in the community.
  • Handle public relations efforts through effective communication channels.
  • Represent the organization in meetings, negotiations, and partnerships with government and corporate entities.
  • Coordinate visits, meetings, and interactions between government officials and the organization's leadership.
  • Present proposals and reports to stakeholders, including government officials and corporate or private sector partners.
  • Provide support and assistance in various projects across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Address and manage issues that arise from government actions or policies that may negatively impact the organization.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with government relations.
  • Extensively travel throughout India (if required) to liaise with government officials, private sector partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Establish a strong presence in various regions to support the organization's objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Political Science, Law, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in government liaison, public relations, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian government structures, policies, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, often on short notice.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for document management and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in liaison with government agencies.
  • Strong network of government contacts and relationships.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
