Sr. Technical Support Engineer

You will be joining AspenTech as a Sr Technical Support Engineer specializing in Subsurface Science & Engineering (SSE) solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert technical support for AspenTech's SSE solutions, troubleshoot complex geoscience-related technical issues, and deliver high-quality training classes on subsurface products. You will collaborate with customers to optimize their geoscience workflows, assist in pre-sales consultations, and engage with internal R&D teams to drive product improvements. Additionally, you will conduct pre-release software testing, contribute to the development of training materials, and travel to customer sites as needed. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide expert technical support for AspenTech's SSE solutions, troubleshooting complex geoscience-related technical issues. - Deliver high-quality training classes on AspenTech's subsurface products. - Collaborate with customers to optimize their geoscience workflows. - Assist in pre-sales consultations and engage with internal R&D teams. - Conduct pre-release software testing and contribute to the development of training materials. - Travel to customer sites as needed, typically less than 25%. **Qualification Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Geoscience-related disciplines such as Geology, Geophysics, Petrophysics, or Petroleum Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience. A Master's degree is a plus. - Strong knowledge of geoscience workflows and subsurface modeling techniques, with experience in upstream workflows. - Excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a customer-first mindset. - Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AspenTech products or similar advanced software, ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, familiarity with New or Renewable Energy workflows, and strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to building lasting customer relationships.
