About the Job: We are currently seeking Technical Leads in low carbon technologies with a focus on the application and implementation of low carbon technologies that results in Low carbon fuels and carbon reduction to join our team based in Chennai, Mumbai, and Noida. This includes: Green Ammonia and Methanol. Circularity (plastic recycling). Carbon capture Biofuels (SAF, ethanol-X, marine biofuels) Responsibilities: Technical lead for projects/studies in any one of the above-mentioned technologies (preferred carbon capture). This will include feasibility studies, business case development, configuration, technology selection, performance estimates, cost estimating, and technical due diligence. Providing input and details on scope, execution, and schedule for Study Proposals in any one of the above-mentioned technologies. This will include leading and supporting written proposals. Provide necessary support in sales opportunities, demonstrating expertise while explaining options. Help business development team in preparing technical proposals and representations as needed. Identify technology startups, research institutes, consultants working in low carbon technologies and explore techno commercial alignment with them. Training process engineers to execute projects in above mentioned technologies. Serve as a specialist across all operating centers in India. Deliver expertise in non-standard or complex projects as lead and provide guidance to team during project execution. Handling of technical queries from clients during and after project execution. About You Wed love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements: Post graduate Degree in Chemical Engineering and minimum overall experience of 15 years of which at least 5 years in any of the mentioned technologies. Familiarity with the commercial and latest Carbon Capture technologies and the comparison with each is an added advantage. Process modelling knowledge using Aspen/HYSYS, PROII. Good knowledge and interest in developing new process designs and layouts. Should be capable of driving the conceptual studies independently. Candidates with Technology licensor /OEM background is preferred but not mandatory.

Position Title: Senior Technologist Carbon Abatement Functional Area: Technology CoE Reporting To: Head Tech Carbon Abatement Job Grade: H Location: Navi Mumbai Job Purpose Senior Technologist Carbon Abatement will execute identification and implementation of low-carbon sustainable technology projects and initiatives for Carbon Abatement / Green Fuels & Chemicals as per the defined strategy & plans, by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organization's sustainability goals and targets. Job Accountabilities Assess new technologies in the field of green/low-carbon product technologies, energy conservation, and climate change applicable for refining and petrochemical industry. Evaluate CO2 capture technologies to identify optimal solution for a variety of CO2 emission sources from refining and petrochemical units. Evaluate CO2 utilization technologies & solutions to produce sustainable feedstocks, chemicals, fuels and materials. Perform process engineering review of technical bids, Basic Engineering Packages (BEP) and detail engineering design documents. Participate in the complete process design of CO2 capture & utilization projects at Reliance, starting from concept development, feasibility studies, pre-FEED, FEED and EPC. Apply basic scientific and engineering fundamentals and concepts to develop practical solutions to technological challenges. Perform techno-economic feasibility of new projects using market research, technical due-diligence and financial modelling approach. Draft / review publications (paper/patent) and oral presentations and assimilate technical articles for technology evaluation. Track & participate in technical programs/seminars/webinar to remain updated with the developments in the field. Skill & Competencies Proven experience in gas separation technologies. Working experience in carbon capture technologies is an added advantage Proficient in process simulation, process modeling and optimization using Aspen Plus/ Hysys. A good understanding of the complete chain of carbon capture, utilization & storage (CCUS) technologies Knowledge and experience of technologies and challenges for developing lower carbon energy transition in energy and chemical sectors High level skills in process simulation, process modeling and optimization Curiosity and creativity, ability to learn and adapt in an agile way Self-starter and motivated Excellent inter-personal skills and strong analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with proven expertise in creating and reviewing high quality written documents. Tech. / M. Tech. in Chemical Engineering from a premier institute Experience Required : 8-10 years of total experience in Refining / Petrochemical / Fertilizer industry in Operations, Technical Services, Technology or R&D. Preferred minimum 3-5 years in technical bid proposal evaluation, technology assessment / benchmarking, process design & engineering, plant erection & commissioning of CO2 Capture projects. In-depth understanding of commercial and advanced CO2 Capture technologies and the trade-off of each for applications in flue gases from power plants & process furnaces, and refining & petrochemical off-gases, etc.
