Your Impact
As a Sr. Software Engineer – Automation, you are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks for enterprise-grade applications. You are expected to drive quality improvements through automation, ensure robust test coverage, and integrate seamlessly into CI/CD workflows. You should be able to work on automation efforts independently, identify gaps in coverage, and implement efficient, maintainable test solutions. You are responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to align automation strategy with overall product delivery goals.
What The Role Offers
- Developing scalable automation frameworks from scratch
- Writing and executing robust test scripts for Web, Desktop, and API-based applications
- Integrating test automation into GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (developers, QA, DevOps, PM) to define and maintain quality standards
- Contributing to system, performance, regression, and integration testing through automation
- Investigating test failures, debugging, and reporting defects with clear reproducible steps
- Monitoring automation execution and improving script reliability and maintainability
- Supporting testing for on-premises and hybrid cloud-based applications
- AI/LLM based automation and QA effort optimization.
What You Will Need To Succeed
- 5+ years of experience in QA with a strong focus on test automation
- Proficiency in tools and technologies such as Selenium, UFT, Robot Framework, Playwright, Java, Python, and shell scripting
- Strong experience in REST/SOAP API testing and automation
- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and solid understanding of virtualization (e.g., VMWare), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and deployment pipelines
- Decent experience in AI/LLM based automation and QA effort optimization.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Experience with test metrics and reporting tools
- Understanding of security and compliance testing considerations
