Purpose of the role

The ITQ Sr. PLM Business Analyst plays a key role in enabling Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) at General Mills. PLM includes the entire lifecycle of a product from its inception and design through manufacturing and ultimately service and disposal. This role will support the sustainment and enhancement of the Optiva PLM system and will involve collaboration with both business and digital & technology (D&T) partners to deliver reliable data and improve systems and processes. The role focuses on analyzing business needs, designing efficient workflows, and enabling technical solutions to support strategic enterprise goals like efficiency, agility, and growth.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provides key business leadership for designated PLM areas of accountability
  • Prioritizes enhancements/capabilities based on business needs in designated PLM areas
  • Develops business requirements for enhancements/capabilities
  • Drives testing, implementation, and training of enhancements/capabilities
  • Ensures seamless integration within PLM business processes and with GMI enterprise processes and systems
  • Collaborates effectively with the cross functional PLM product team, SMEs and Power Users to deliver enhancements and capabilities on time and budget
  • Drives organizational change by building trust and influencing users and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education – Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering in any one of: Food Science, Nutrition or related field.
  • Total experience required 7-10 Years.
  • Strong learning agility and willingness to learn new systems and business processes
  • Working knowledge of product commercialization process from product design to manufacturing
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to understand complex business needs
  • Ability to deal with constant change of priorities
  • An effective and efficient team player with excellent interpersonal skills, who can also resolve problems independently
  • Strong verbal and written strategic communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in engineering in any one of: Food Science, Nutrition or related field.
  • Experience working with specifications and/or labeling
  • Familiar with Product Commercialization systems and processes adjacent to PLM, such as Manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM) Management, Artwork Management, etc.
  • Experience working within Infor Optiva PLM system
