Sr. Planning Engineer

JD

• Prepare detailed

  project schedules

  using Primavera P6 / MS Project for civil construction activities.
• Develop

  baseline programs

  , work breakdown structures (WBS), and resource-loaded schedules.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly.
• Analyze

  critical path

  , delays, and slippages; prepare recovery and catch-up plans.
• Coordinate with

  site engineers, QA/QC, billing, procurement, and execution teams

  for progress updates.
• Prepare

  daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports

  .
• Track manpower, machinery, and material utilization against the plan.
• Prepare

  look-ahead plans

  and micro-level schedules.
• Support

  billing and claims

  by providing planning inputs and delay analysis.
• Assist in

  EOT (Extension of Time)

  claims and variation analysis.
• Ensure planning compliance with contract requirements and milestones.
• Participate in progress review meetings with clients and consultants.
  

Key Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of

  civil construction activities

  (RCC, finishing, earthwork, roads, structures, etc.).
• Proficient in

  Primavera P6 / MS Project

  .
• Good understanding of

  construction methodology and sequencing

  .
• Knowledge of

  earned value management (EVM)

  .
• Strong analytical, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Education

• B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Experience

• 8-12 years

  of relevant experience in planning for civil/infrastructure projects.

Software Knowledge

• Primavera P6 / MS Project
• MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• AutoCAD (basic knowledge preferred)
• Should have knowledge of ERP Software
