Job Responsibilities
- Assists in analyzing engineering requirements to support the development of optimal design solutions for medical device components, ensuring compliance with industry standards, working under direct supervision.
- Supports the development and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and protocols to validate engineering designs, maintaining high-quality assurance standards.
- Document design specifications, test results, and validation procedures accurately and thoroughly, ensuring records meet regulatory compliance requirements.
- Participates in the implementation of design improvements based on testing and evaluation activities, contributing to innovation initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and efficiency.
- Assists in troubleshooting technical issues across hardware, software, or other technical components, working with senior engineers to identify and resolve complex challenges to minimize production downtime.
- Tracks the performance and reliability of components and systems, identifying areas for improvement and supporting optimization initiatives under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Follows company policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure consistent compliance and excellence in execution.
- Compiles technical findings, design proposals, and project updates to team members and stakeholders, effectively communicating complex engineering concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Implements engineering best practices and methodologies under the guidance of senior engineers to streamline design processes, improve efficiency, and reduce time-to-market for new products.
- Assists in assessing feedback from testing and user experience to refine and enhance product designs, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and product performance.
Minimum Required Education
Master/Bachelor in Electrical/Electronics/Equivalent engineering.
Minimum Required Experience
- 4 to 6 years of experience in product development and support lifecycle management of medical devices.
- Knowledge of communication interfaces like RS232, RS485, CAN, Ethernet and USB
- Sound Knowledge of Digital Electronics and Analog circuits
- Experience in selection of standard components from supplier’s catalogue to match design requirement
- Component obsolescence management/BOM Analysis
- Preferably Medical background/basic knowledge of Medical standards
- Hands on experience with PLM tools like Agile, Windchill or equivalent. Sound knowledge of QMS process.
- Global mindset, excellent communication skill and positive ‘can do’ attitude
