Job Title: Admissions Counsellor Job Summary The Admissions Counsellor serves as the primary point of contact for prospective students and parents, guiding them through the entire admission process. The role involves managing inquiries, conducting counselling sessions, coordinating admission activities, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for every applicant. Key Responsibilities 1. Counselling & Communication Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, walk-ins, and online platforms. Provide detailed information about academic programs, curriculum, admission criteria, and school life. Counsel students and parents to help them make informed academic decisions. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions, school tours, and open house events. 2. Admissions Management Manage the end-to-end admissions process from inquiry to enrollment. Ensure accurate and complete documentation for each applicant. Schedule and coordinate interviews, assessments, and entrance exams. Maintain and update applicant data in the CRM or school ERP system. Follow up with leads to achieve targeted conversion rates. 3. Reporting & Coordination Prepare regular reports on inquiries, conversions, and admission trends. Collaborate with academic and administrative teams for smooth onboarding of new students. Provide feedback on market trends, parent expectations, and competitor activities. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field. 1–5 years of experience in student admissions, counselling, or customer service (education sector preferred). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM/ERP software. Ability to work under deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
