Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Design Engineer – Mechanical at our Ahmedabad location. The Senior Design Engineer will oversee mechanical design processes, develop high-precision components for turbines and similar systems, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams. Responsibilities include utilizing CAD tools for design, ensuring product design meets technical and safety standards, and providing engineering solutions for turbine components. The role will focus on enhancing product efficiency and reliability, while maintaining quality standards in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and design mechanical components, systems, and assemblies using CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid Edge, NX, or similar).
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Conduct design calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection as per project requirements.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
• Review and revise existing designs for cost reduction, performance improvement, and ease of manufacturing.
• Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, customer specifications, and safety guidelines.
• Support documentation for design approvals and engineering change management.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, and installation stages.
• Collaborate with clients and vendors for design clarifications and technical discussions.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid Edge, NX, or similar).
• Experience with GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and design validation.
• Understanding of fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
