Sr. Automation Tester

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust automated testing strategies and frameworks tailored to telecommunications software applications.
• Lead and mentor a team of automation testers, encouraging best practices, peer reviews, and continuous learning.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive automated test scripts to validate core telecom functionalities such as call flows, IVR systems, SIP communication, and real-time data handling.
• Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to ensure in-depth understanding of features and proper test coverage.
• Conduct root cause analysis by evaluating test results, debugging failures, and clearly documenting issues for rapid resolution.
• Ensure regular updates and transparent communication with stakeholders regarding test progress, blockers, and quality metrics.
• Identify and advocate for process enhancements, tool upgrades, and improved automation workflows to drive overall efficiency.
• Actively participate in and contribute to performance and load testing efforts, ensuring telecom systems meet high-availability and scalability requirements under peak loads.
• Maintain high standards of documentation for test cases, automation scripts, execution logs, and QA reports.
• Continuously explore new tools and technologies to evolve the automation approach, especially in areas related to VoIP testing, SIP protocol validation, and telecom APIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in QA automation
• Strong proficiency in automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, Robot Framework).
• Hands-on experience with scripting/programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of telecom protocols and systems (SIP, RTP, SS7, SMPP, WebRTC).
• Experience in developing and executing automation for telecom platforms such as call flows, IVR, messaging systems, and real-time applications.
• Familiarity with API automation tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured, Karate).
• Knowledge of performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust, Gatling) and ability to analyze results.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to lead/mentor junior testers and drive automation best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
