Description
As a Senior Accountant at our company, you will be responsible for managing financial processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and delivering accurate financial reports. You will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, providing strategic insights, and mentoring junior staff. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. - Analyze financial data and provide insights to management. - Monitor and report on key financial metrics and trends. - Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. - Ensure all journal entries are accurate and comply with accounting standards. - Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. - Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules. - Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. - Monitor variances and provide explanations for discrepancies. - Prepare and review tax filings, including VAT, GST, income tax, and corporate tax returns. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent certification is preferred. - Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role. - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., TALLY, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. - Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), tax regulations, and financial reporting standards. - Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines. - Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
