Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records for Aura Plantation’s coffee and tea operations, including labor, input costs, production, sales, and maintenance. Monitor and report on budgets, expenditures, and profitability across both coffee and tea divisions. Process accounts payable and receivable; manage timely payments and invoicing. Administer payroll for estate workers and staff, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESI, etc.). Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for both crops. File GST, income tax, and other statutory returns in accordance with Indian tax laws. Liaise with auditors, financial institutions, and government bodies as needed. Maintain inventory and asset records for inputs like fertilizers, machinery, and harvested produce. Provide cost analysis and financial forecasts to support plantation-level decision-making. Track and document eligibility for agricultural subsidies, grants, and tea/coffee board incentives. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance. 3–5 years of accounting experience; preference for candidates with experience in tea or coffee plantations, or other agricultural enterprises. Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or equivalents like Xero). Solid understanding of Indian tax regulations including GST, TDS, and income tax. Strong communication skills in English and Hindi; working knowledge of Kannada preferred. Excellent time-management, accuracy, and documentation skills. Ability to collaborate with plantation workers and management while handling responsibilities independently. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working with multi-crop plantations (especially tea and coffee). Familiarity with tea/coffee board reporting standards and agricultural compliance documentation. Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
