We are looking for a highly resourceful, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to join our DESIS Finance team based out of the firm’s office in Hyderabad, India. This group is responsible for legal entity bookkeeping, financial reporting, and statutory compliance for the D. E. Shaw group’s Indian entities. WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY: In this role, you will liaise closely with other teams and vendors to obtain invoices and resolve queries. You will communicate with multiple stakeholders and maintain documentation for internal and external audits. You will also manage the full accounts payable cycle, from entering invoices into the accounting system to executing pay runs, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, reconciling accounts payable transactions, and resolving discrepancies. You will handle per diem issuance for international travelers and coordinate with employees and the bank. Additionally, you will manage vendor relationships, respond to inquiries, and resolve any issues. Furthermore, you will assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and account reconciliations, ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements. You will also collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall financial operations. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Basic qualifications: A B. Com degree with a master’s degree in accounting and finance 5-6 years of Indian entity accounts payable experience A profound knowledge of accounts payable processes and accounting principles Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as the role requires interactions with internal and external stakeholders Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities Attention to detail and accuracy Experience with ERP systems Knowledge of GST/TDS/MSME and other relevant tax regulations Preferred qualifications: Semi-qualified Chartered Accountancy degree Interested candidates can apply through our website: https://www.deshawindia.com/recruit/jobs/Adv/Link/SpecAPDec2024 We encourage candidates with relevant experience looking to restart their careers after a break to apply for this position.
