Specialist - MongoDB Atlas Search

Position: Senior MongoDB Engineer

Experience: 4+ Years

Location: Ahmedabad/Remote

Employment Type - Contractual - 6months(renewable)

Key Responsibilities:

• MongoDB Development & Data Modeling
• Design, develop, and optimize document-based schemas incorporating normalization and denormalization strategies.
• Implement efficient CRUD operations, including complex querying, filtering, sorting, pagination, and bulk inserts.
• Work extensively with updates, upserts, replacements, and aggregation pipelines.
• Performance Tuning & Optimization
• Design and implement indexing strategies for high-performance queries.
• Analyze and interpret query explain plans to troubleshoot and optimize performance.
• Apply advanced query optimization practices for large-scale datasets.
• Database Architecture & Administration
• Work with MongoDB Atlas, including cluster setup, monitoring, backup, restore, and alerting.
• Implement replication, sharding, and high-availability setups.
• Manage data lifecycle strategies using hot/warm/cold tiers, TTL indexes, and archival policies.
• Real-Time Data Processing
• Implement and maintain MongoDB Change Streams for real-time data pipelines and event-driven architectures.
• Security, Compliance & Maintenance
• Configure and manage security controls, authentication, authorization, and role-based access models.
• Ensure data protection, backup strategies, disaster recovery readiness, and system resilience.
• Integration & Application Development
• Integrate MongoDB solutions with .NET/C# applications using official MongoDB drivers.
• Collaborate with backend developers to ensure seamless data flow and consistent object mapping to BSON models.
• Search & Advanced Querying
• Utilize and integrate search technologies such as Lucene, full-text search, semantic search, and vector search where applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4+ years of professional experience working with MongoDB in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of documents, collections, BSON structures, and C# object mapping.
• Hands-on experience with advanced CRUD operations, indexing, aggregation pipelines, and performance tuning.
• Deep understanding of MongoDB Atlas, replication, sharding, and change streams.
• Experience with backup/restore processes, monitoring tools, and alerting systems (Atlas / Ops Manager).
• Proven experience integrating MongoDB with .NET/C# applications.
• Knowledge of real-time data flows and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with Lucene or similar search technologies, vector search, semantic search, and full-text search.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
