Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, highly skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As the right hand to the Head Chef, you will play a key role in kitchen operations, menu development, staff training, and ensuring our dishes meet the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation. Key Responsibilities Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations. Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and professionalism. Execute and oversee food preparation and cooking with precision and creativity. Maintain quality control over stock, preparation, and presentation. Collaborate on new menu items and seasonal specials aligned with Food Whisperer’s philosophy. Ensure compliance with sanitation, health, and safety regulations in the kitchen. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to reduce waste and optimize cost. Step in and lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence. Qualifications 5-10 years of culinary experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or sous chef role. Formal culinary training or relevant certification preferred. Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Calm under pressure with a keen eye for detail and a passion for innovation. Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards.
