Sous Chef

As a professional Sous Chef at the leading catering network with offices in India, USA, and Australia, you will be the second in command in the kitchen, following the specifications and guidelines of the Executive Chef. Your culinary and managerial skills will be essential in maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: - Help in the preparation and design of all food and drink menus - Produce high-quality plates in terms of both design and taste - Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely manner that meets quality standards - Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary - Resourcefully solve any issues and take control of problematic situations - Manage and train kitchen staff, establish work schedules, and assess staff performance - Order supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels - Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards - Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Qualifications: - 1+ years of experience as a Sous Chef - Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures - Excellent record of kitchen and staff management - Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions - Familiarity with industry best practices - Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS) - BS degree in Culinary Science or a related certificate would be a plus,
