Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Noida for a Sourcing Merchandiser. The Sourcing Merchandiser will be responsible for managing day-to-day sourcing activities, building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with the sales, marketing, and retail teams to ensure product alignment and customer satisfaction.

Roles and responsibilities

• Source fabrics, trims, and packaging materials as per design and production needs.
• Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with vendors for sampling and bulk production.
• Negotiate pricing, MOQs, and timelines with suppliers.
• Prepare and maintain cost sheets for all sourced items.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to the factory or warehouse.
• Coordinate with the design and production teams to align sourcing with product development.
• Track order status and resolve any delays or quality issues with suppliers.
• Maintain proper documentation of sourcing orders and vendor details.
• Visit local markets or vendor sites when required.
• Ensure all sourced materials meet quality and safety standards, especially for baby products.
• Support in material planning and availability for upcoming collections.

Qualification

• Graduate in Fashion, Textile, or Apparel Merchandising.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in sourcing or production (preferably in kidswear or apparel).
• Good knowledge of fabrics, trims, and basic garment construction.
• Experience in costing, vendor communication, and order tracking.
• Strong negotiation and follow-up skills.
• Comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets for tracking and reporting.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage timelines.
• Willing to visit vendors or markets when needed.
